Preventive Medicine

To keep your pet free from disease, we recommend annual physical examinations, vaccinations and heartworm prevention. Common parasites such as roundworm, tapeworms and many others should be checked for regularly. We also offer a number of tick and flea preventive treatments.

Spay & Neuter

We recommend spaying or neutering pets over 6 months of age, not only to help control unwanted breeding, but also for the general health of the pet. Spay and neuter surgeries are done in-house and in most cases patients can go home the same day.

Diagnostic and Laboratory Services

With our state-of the art equipment we perform all routine and many advanced diagnostic tests in-house so that you get test results quickly and can begin medical treatment for your pet if needed as soon as possible. Serivces include radiography, blood and urine chemistries, electrocardiography, endoscopy, etc. We also utilize the services of outside veterinary specialists and laboratories as appropriate.

Dentistry

Dental care is important to your pet to promote oral hygiene and to help control tooth loss, bad breath and even heart and kidney complications. We offer comprehensive dental services, including ultrasonic cleaning, dental extractions and polishing.

Dermatology

We offer treatments for skin problems resulting from nutritional and environmental allergies, hormonal skin problems, and other dermatological conditions. We work with you to find a solution that works best for you and your pet.

Geriatrics

For our senior feline and canine friends we recommend full baseline blood testing, vaccinations, and senior nutritional care. Many senior pets have age-related conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, endocrine, and cognitive disorders. These conditions can be controlled with medications so that your pet is more comfortable and can enjoy a more active lifestyle.

Emergency Services

Emergency services are available during regular office hours on an as needed basis as well as after hours, weekends, and holidays. In addition, we also provide emergency referral services to other hospitals, if required, so that your pet's need can be met 24 hours a day.

Nutritional Counseling

We offer a number of prescribed special diet plans to help maintain your pet’s health and to treat certain health conditions such as heart, kidney, liver and intestinal disease. We also provide weight management products, senior diet foods and feline hairball foods.

Boarding

We offer medical boarding for pets needing hospitalization or general medical attention. In addition we offer day boarding services for pet owners who are unable to schedule a regular appointment; day boarding services are only for pets requiring medical treatment. Simply drop off your pet in the morning and pick up at the end of the same day. We do not, however, offer general pet-sitting, “day care”, or overnight boarding.

Grooming

We offer in house medical bathing and grooming services, and for your convenience, we also offer general bathing and grooming services with an in-house professional groomer.

Surgery

Our hospital utilizes the best in state of the art equipment and instrumentation. Isoflourane anesthesia, which is used in human hospitals, is considered among the safest of anesthetics available. Your pet is continually monitored throughout surgery by Dr. Depiero, or one of our experienced veterinary technicians.
